Easter 09 continued!

After all the business of Easter - seeing family, traveling and celebrating Hannah's first Easter, Kory and I wanted to take the time to write about the true gift that Easter really means to us. We just wanted to express our thankfulness for our God's mercy and love. Easter is the celebration of the resurrection our King, Jesus. Jesus was sent to redeem us, save us and reconcile us with God. How amazing that He would send His son for us! Our hope is sealed in Christ! We trust that our patient, loving, faithful and powerful God is sustaining us and we will seek Him for evermore!

We both really love this song and wanted to share it with everyone! Hope you enjoy!

Everyone needs compassion
Love that's never failing

Let mercy fall on me

Anyone needs forgiveness
The kindness of a Saviour

The hope of nations

Saviour He can move the mountains
My God is mighty to save
He is mighty to save
Forever author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave

So take me as you find me
All my fears and failures
Fill my life again
I give my life to follow
Everything I believe in
Now I Surrender
I Surrender

Saviour He can move the mountains
My God is mighty to save
He is mighty to save
Forever author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave

Shine your light and
Let the whole world see
Were singing for the glory
Of the risen King
Jesus Shine your light and
Let the whole world see
We’re singing for the glory
Of the risen King

Saviour He can move the mountains
My God is mighty to save
He is mighty to save
Forever author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave

Easter 09

We had the best Easter! Easter Sunday is a special day for our family anyway (Kory and I got engaged on Easter Sunday) but this Easter was extra fun because it was Hannah's first Easter too. We went to visit Kory's Mom and siblings and we had such a nice time. Hannah loved getting to see Nanna and was of course spoiled rotten! She got a new sun dress, a stuffed animal duck ("Quacky"), some new books (her favorite!) and some chocolate (which Mommy gladly ate for her hehe). It was such a relaxing and fun day. We went to Kory's church in Fairfield first and then Kory's Mom cooked a wonderful meal - we had ham with all kinds of vegetables and side dishes. It was so nice for all 3 of us! Uncle Kris' girlfriend, Ann, took a few family pics for us in front of the fireplace but I am hoping to get some more when we visit again in a few weeks. We can't wait!

Soakin' up the rays :)

We had some beautiful days this week! Hannah and I went to the park with our friends Jenn and little Mia. This time I remembered my camera! Yay!

Welcome back to Texas!

Kory's Uncle Tyler and Aunt Stephanie, Josh and Jordan have moved back to Texas! Yay! Last week they were able to visit us and meet Hannah for the first time. It was great for me too, because I finally got to meet Aunt Stephanie and the kids! They stayed with us for 2 nights and we had a lot of fun. The first night they took us to Uncle Julio's, a Mexican restaurant they had missed while they were living in Italy. It was very delicious and it's always fun for Kory and I to try a new restaurant. During the day, Hannah loved the attention from Josh and Jordan. They were so great with her - 2 new friends at once! :) Their last night with us, we had a barbeque and watch Seven Pounds (with Will Smith). Good movie, but very sad! We were really sad to see them leave - we really enjoyed the company!! Hopefully we will make a trip down to Corpus Christi soon to visit their new house!

Here are our attempts to get a few pics:
