2 milestones in one week!

A tooth AND crawling - all in one week! My little girl is growing up so fast! It has been quite a chaotic week for us. Those little teeth are very sharp and Hannah has had a hard time as they come through. We feel so sorry for her, it must be painful. Thankfully, Tylenol seems to ease the pain a little and helps us all get a little more sleep at night! Poor baby! Hopefully there will be a little break before the next ones come in.

The pain has not stopped this baby from moving though! Hehe! I am finding that she is getting quicker and more sneaky. I have turned my back a few times only to find she is not where I left her sitting. It makes me laugh. Kory and I will have to start getting serious about baby proofing the house -who knows what she will get up to next!

We are still trying with the food! We are not making much progress but the doctor does not seem worried at all, so we will just keep trying. We took some pictures of our attempts - I think the food was everywhere but her mouth. Oh, baby! One day!

Before: (she clearly thinks this is a game!)
And after:

Grandma & Grandpa come to visit!

Last Wednesday my parents left after a great visit. My Mom was able to come for 9 days and my Dad for 6, so by the time they left Hannah had been spoiled rotten! She loved all the extra play time, kisses and attention. It was a nice change of routine for me - I got to go shopping for some much needed clothes (I was not informed that your body could completely change shape after a baby!) and do some errands that are much easier when there is someone there to help! Of course my Mom was the best house guest possible!! She cleans, cooks, does laundry - Mary Poppins I tell you! Hehe! Kory and my Dad painted our outside fence which looks wonderful, but was lots of hard work. It's the best looking fence now in the neighborhood for sure! I will have to take some pictures of it. We had lots of great meals too! My parent's last night was the highlight I think. Kory and I took them to Saltgrass Steakhouse. It was delicious! We will have to make that a regular thing when they come to visit! Hurry up June!!

We had a little photo-shoot:

Sunshine after the rain....

Last week was a bad week for weather - it felt like it rained every day, all day long! We didn't even get to go to the park! :( BUT I have to say, it was good timing since Hannah was still getting over her terrible cold. We are all glad that she is feeling better and is back to her mischievous, funny, cute little self! Just in time for Grandma ;)

The weekend made up for a not-so-great week. Hannah got a new high chair and a car seat. She of course loved playing with the boxes and doesn't seem to mind sitting in either so far. Fingers crossed! Maybe a new high chair will encourage her to eat?! Let's be honest. Probably not. A break from the rain put us all in a good mood though and Kory and I loved buying some nice things for our sweet baby. :)

Today was an exciting day! Not only did we pick Grandma up from the airport, but Hannah got extremely brave with her crawling. I can NOT believe it. She has been taking little crawling "steps" and actually cleared some ground today. YAY!! hehe. We were all so excited. I am going to be a crazy Mama once she masters crawling. :) But I can't wait.

Well, that's it for now... I shall post again soon!

Christmas in March?!

Wow, it's been a busy week! Hannah and I enjoyed the beautiful weather during the week while Kory was at work. We took a few trips to the park (I seem to forget my camera every time, but there is always next week!), we had lunch with Kory almost every day, and we managed to fit in a shopping trip with one of our friends. It was great!

The weekend was even more eventful! On Saturday we went to visit Kory's family to finally exchange Christmas presents (better late than never!). Unfortunately our trip was very short - when we arrived Hannah did not seem herself at all :( We decided to go home early to find that she had a fever of 101 degrees (Kory and I are paranoid parents so we used 4 different thermometers to make sure - hehe) and that she was not feeling well at all. Poor baby! We had a rough night with lots of waking up and rocking back to sleep but she seems to be doing much better today. Well, she was definitely feeling well enough to open her Christmas presents! :) Hopefully we will have a better night tonight!

We lost an hour of sleep last night but we still enjoyed the rest of our weekend. This morning we took a trip to Watters Creek which is an outdoor shopping area a few minutes from our house. It is beautiful and we had a great time - we have plans to go back and spend the day there one Saturday! This afternoon I went to my friend, Mia's, baby shower. We are very excited for her and her husband, Matthew. She is due April 2nd! I left Kory at home with a sick Hannah, but they survived and enjoyed a trip to Lowe's while I was gone! hehe.

I think that is it for now, I will post again soon. Enjoy the pictures!

Sweet baby opening her presents!

Thanks Kory's family! :)

New toys!

The last few weeks....

When I started blogging my goal was to post something every week. So far I am failing miserably!! It is no excuse, but time seems to be flying these days. Hannah keeps me busy during the day and by the time she is asleep for the night, relaxing on the couch with my husband seems much more inviting than turning on the computer! Anyway, I will make a new commitment to this blog. Wish me luck!

The last few weeks have been good! Our weekends have been pretty quiet and relaxing - much needed after a very busy Christmas season. One weekend we did some decorating which was very fun (see the pictures below - we are pretty proud of ourselves :) We had a really nice Valentine's day and we decided to celebrate twice since Kory had to work some of Feb 14th. Oh darn! hehe :)

Hannah is doing great. It's so fun to see her personality develop. She makes Kory and I laugh all the time. She is quite the little chatterbox :) We are really enjoying more sleep - she is doing so good at night. Yay! She still will not eat any solid food, but we will keep trying. She can't nurse forever (I hope)! She loves playing with anything that she is not supposed to, of course. She is a little rascal and very sneaky. She is still working on crawling but has definitely mastered rolling. She giggles and smiles all the time which is very sweet. She is also very cuddly - I love it! She wants me to hold her all day and makes me feel very special. Unfortunately she doesn't have the same love for people she doesn't know - Kory has taught her "stranger danger" hehe! We have tried to put her in the nursery at a church a few times but she gets very upset when we leave her. Sweet baby! Right now I am enjoying every day with her, she is so special.

My parents are coming to stay in 2 weeks so we are all very excited about that! We have already planned lots of things to do - I hope it doesn't go by too fast. Hopefully the weather will stay nice for their stay, especially because Hannah loves to be outside.

I think that is it for now... I will post again soon! :)

Winter Weddings

'Tis the wedding season!! The month of January has been a crazy month for our family - we had two weddings in a row! On January 10th, 2007 our good friends, Jacob and Chelsa, got married at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, TX. Kory had the honor of being a groomsman! It was a really beautiful ceremony and the cold weather was just a peek of what was in store for the following week! Congratulations Jacob and Chelsa!

On Saturday, January 17th, my brother and his fiancee, Ashley, got married!! Yay! We flew to New York on the Thursday before to meet my parents and then we travelled to Connecticut where the wedding and reception would be. It was Hannah's second trip in less than a month and she did great! We had a wonderful time seeing old friends and family and really enjoyed the time together as a family. The wedding was beautiful. It was held in a chapel at the Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. Both Kory and I were in the wedding! The reception followed at The Riverhouse in Haddam, CT. Kory and I had a wonderful time, especially after little Hannah went to sleep! We enjoyed a delicious steak dinner and dancing to a live band. It was so much fun!

We are now back in Texas and have enjoyed a relaxing weekend at home. We enjoyed doing some decorating - I will have to post some pictures of our re-designed family room! hehe :)

P.S. My brother and Ashley had an awesome photographer (these are just a few pictures from our camera) so when we receive those I will be sure to post some more family pictures!
